Artillery Cricket Team Clinched the Championship of Army T20 Cricket Tournament at the Newly Constructed First Class Ground at SLAOC Dombagoda

The " A " Division finals in the Inter Regiment Cricket T20 Tournament - 2018, organized by the Army Cricket Committee was held on 10 December 2018 at Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) International Cricket Stadium, Dombagoda.

Inauguration of 8 strip ground with modern facilities was ceremonially opened by Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake. Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Major General Rukmal Dias, Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant Regiment of Artillery, Major General Bimal Widanage, Quarter Master General and Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps and many Senior Officers joined the day's programme.

The Sri Lanka Artillery team scored 146 in 20 overs and SLAOC bowled out 131 in 19 overs. Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) team was restricted to 131 runs in total by their Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) team rivals as the match reached its climax. SLA pushing SLAOC team to be the first runner-up emerged as champions in the " A " division by 15 runs.
