Volunteer Force Inter Regiment Cross Country Marathon Race - 2019
2019-01-18Volunteer Force Inter Regiment Cross Country Marathon Race - 2019, which was organized by the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force held on 18 January 2019 at the Golf Race Course Grounds in Nuwara Eliya.
This event has being commenced under 4 categories and 250 runners inclusive of the players in the National Level participated in this mega sports event and Regiment of Artillery became the Champions while Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers secured Runner - up. Their achievements are as follows:
Second Place - S/A100462 Gnr Shanmugeshwaran K (Time 33.00 min)
Third Place - S/5A02983 L/Bdr Srimantha SAAL (Time 33.17 min)
Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant Regiment of Artillery Maj Gen GRH Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG graced the occasion as the chief guest. Deputy Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Maj Gen LF Kasthuriarachchi, Commander 112 Brigade, Brig MWAA Wijesuriya and many other senior officers took part of the event. Regiment of Artillery congratulates all athletes and officials who have brought glory to the Regiment.
