Farewell Ceremony to Retiring Major Generals of the Regiment of Artillery
2022-06-04Sri Lanka Artillery bid farewell to Major General DMAP Dissanayake RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Major General KTADS Kolambathantri RWP RSP USP psc IG, Major General GWL Mahinkanda on 03 June 2022, who retired after serving more than 34 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Farewell formalities were held in its customary way at Artillery Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda. Commencement of the ceremony marked by laying a flower wreaths to the fallen war heroes at the Regimental Monument by outgoing Major Generals. A Guard turnout and Guard of honour were awarded to the retiring Major Generals by the Troops of the Regiment of Artillery respectively. The officers present were attended a tea at the WOs'/Sgts' Mess followed by all Ranks lunch at ORs' Mess - 4 SLA. The days' events were concluded after formal dinner offered to the outgoing Major Generals along with Major General DPU Gunasekara (Rtd) RWP USP IG, at the Offers' Mess.
