5 SLA Celebrated its 35th Anniversary
2015-01-225 SLA celebrated its 35th Anniversary in customary way on 22 January 2015 at Regimental Headquarters premises at Kantale. Anniversary celebrations began with laying a flower wreath at Regimental Monument at Panagoda in memory of fallen heroes of the unit and obtaining blessings of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. Commanding Officer reviewed the Guard Turnout and Regimental Parade offered by its members followed by inauguration of new building for WO’s and Sgt’s Mess, a tea party , All Rank Lunch and finals of the Inter Battery Volleyball, Tug of War and Cricket was part of the days programme. Colonel Commandant, Officers & All Ranks of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery extend warm wishes to Commanding Officer & All Ranks of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery for the success in all future endeavours.
