Eye Campaign at Thalawa
2015-05-18An eye campaign for the war heroes and their family members was held at 9 Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery premises on 16 May 2015.This was organized as per the concept articulated by the chairperson of Artillery SevaVanitha Unit, Mrs PremillaPerera with the noblest contribution of Mr HarshaEdirisinghe the President of Lions Club of Kiribathgoda.
Approximately 150 persons participated in this eye campaign and Mr HarshaEdirisinghe and Mr SasankaEdirisinghe conducted the clinical assessment of the participants. Free pair of spectacles were offered to weak sighted individuals and prescribed to attend eye surgeries facilitated by Mr HarshaEdirisinghe on an appointed date.
At end of the day all participants were presented with a gift pack contributed by John Keells Holdings and Unilever Sri Lanka.
