Sri Lanka Artillery Beat Sri Lanka National Guards in Army A Division Volleyball Championship.
2015-08-10In the Army A division Volleyball Championship, Regiment of Artillery team beat Sri Lanka National Guard team by 3-1 sets (Score 27-25, 25-22, 24-25, 25-22) at the finals. The match was held at the indoor stadium, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa on 10th August 2015.
The Colonel Commandant of Regiment of Artillery greeted the victory of Artillery team and wished all the best in their endeavors to glorify Regiments name as one of the best teams in Sri Lanka Army.
Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc, the Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and chairperson of Army Volleyball Committee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony.
Gnr Bandara S B B S, the captain, was awarded as the �Best All Rounder� while Gnr Thilak Kumara M H J nominated as �Best Setter� and Gnr Wijekoon W M M nominated as � Best Reciever�.
The team is coached by Mr Kalika Wasanthapriya.
