Artillery Receives President's Colours

His Excellency the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces will be presenting the President's and Regimental Colours to Sri Lanka Artillery on 23 April 2013. This is the proudest achievement of the Regiment of Artillery in its long and illustrious journey on the noble path of right and glory. There is no other befitting time for the Regiment to be presented with President's and Regimental Colours than when it is celebrating 125th Anniversary. The presentation of Colours by His Excellency the President is the ideal reward for the valiant Gunners specially those brave officers and men who gave their life and lost limbs in the line of duty. There is no doubt that the President's and Regimental Colours will be sacred symbols of the splendid tradition upon which the Regiment of Artillery will continue to build and will inspire the Gunners to carry out the duties with courage and conviction. Listed below is a series of ceremonies that have been planned to celebrate the presentation of colours and the Regiment's quasquicentennial.
