55 INFANTRY DIVISION'S TROOPS BID FAREWELL TO OUTGOING GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING
2025-06-30Troops of 55 Infantry Division bid farewell to its 28th General Officer Commanding Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc on 30 June 2025 at 55 Infantry Division Headquarters in Kilinochchi.
The day's program was commenced with the arrival of Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc and he was offered with a guard turnout and guard of honour by the troops of 11(V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment.
After the group photographs with Officers and Other Ranks, he addressed the troops. The day's event concluded with an All Ranks Tea. Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers and Other Ranks of 55 Infantry Division attended for the formalities.
