Drone Workshop for UN Riot Control Force
2026-03-12The 15 Drone Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery conducted a Drone Workshop at the Commando Regiment Training School, Kudaoya, on 09 May 2026. Senior officers, officers, and other ranks from the Armoured Corps, Mechanized Infantry Regiment, Light Infantry Regiment, Commando Regiment, Special Forces, and Women’s Corps participated in the program.
26 Officers and 328 Other Ranks attended the training, which was organized for the Riot Control Force preparing to be deployed in Haiti. The workshop focused on enhancing drone knowledge and operational skills, strengthening the technological capabilities of the Sri Lanka Army in international operations.
This initiative underscores the Army’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into training and ensuring operational readiness for global peacekeeping responsibilities.
