Commander Artillery Brigade pays Official visit To 14 Rocket Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery

The Commander, Artillery Brigade, Brigadier DMPU Dissanayake RSP USP IG, paid an official visit to the 14 Rocket Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, Kalankuttiya, on 25 May 2026, following his assumption of duties as the Commander, Artillery Brigade. Upon arrival at the regiment, he was warmly received by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col DAKS Somaweera USP psc SLA, and was accorded a Guard Turnout in honour of his visit.

The programme featured several significant events, including a group photograph, the planting of a sapling, and a troop address delivered by the Brigade Commander. Thereafter, the Commanding Officer briefed the Commander, Artillery Brigade, on the present responsibilities and operational aspects of the unit. The briefing was followed by a camp visit, during which the Brigade Commander observed the regiment’s facilities and ongoing activities.

The occasion concluded with Brigadier DMPU Dissanayake RSP USP IG penning his reflections in the visitors’ book, leaving a message of encouragement and vision for the future progress of the 14 Rocket Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery.
