Christmas Day Programme – Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama
2025-12-27A Christmas Day programme was successfully conducted on 25 December 2025 at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, with the aim of spreading joy, compassion, and hope among children undergoing treatment and their families. The event was graced by the presence of the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, as the Chief Guest, together with the President of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Vindya Premaratne. Approximately 200 children and their parents participated in the programme, along with Senior Officers, Officers, and members of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch. The programme included Christmas carols performed by members of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch together with the children, followed by the distribution of snack packets and gift packs. A lunch was also provided to all participants, further enhancing the spirit of togetherness and care. The event reflected the true essence of Christmas and reaffirmed the continued commitment of the Sri Lanka Artillery and the Seva Vanitha Branch towards social responsibility and humanitarian service.
