9th Field Regiment Celebrated It's 23rd Anniversary
2020-01-299th Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery proudly celebrated it's 23rd Anniversary on 25 January 2020 at Rear Headquarters - Thalawa.
The Commencement of the ceremony marked by paying obeisance to the fallen war heroes of the 9th Light Regiment by laying flower wreath to Regimental Monument at RHQ SLA, Panagoda on 14 January 2020 by the Second in Command Maj WAAP Gunatilake RSP SLA. Many other activities have taken place to mark the anniversary including religious activities, guard turnout and regiment parade accorded to the Commanding Officer Lt Col DPLT Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, planting of sapling, All Ranks Tea, NCO's/Gunner's get together with musical show and awarding certificates/prizes to the Best Gunner and the Best Recruit.
Moreover Commanding Officer didn't forget to appraise civil servants who works for the unit by giving gift packs. The celebrations concluded with officers' get together with the participants of newly married couples and important civil heads in the area who immensely contributed to uplift the standard of the Regiment.
