Artillery Officers' Excursion - 2020
2020-03-14Artillery Officers' Excursion - 2020 was held at Hunas Falls and Sembuwatta from 13 to 14 March 2020 with the participation of Colonel Commandant, Senior Officers and more than 60 Officers. The excursion was aimed to enhance the comradeship, cooperation and spirit among the Gunner Officers.
The excursion was organized with a direction of Colonel Commandant and the Centre Commandant. 9 SLA has well coordinated the event along with 4 SLA, 7 SLA, 8 SLA and 10 SLA arranged Food & beverages, T Shirts and sports/adventure activities in a precise manner. Officers started the Journey at am hrs on 12 March from RHQ SLA and on reaching excursion area a Field Lunch was arranged at Hunas Falls. Cross Country March was organised in very competitive and energetic manner and officers reached accommodation area Sembuwatta.
At night a 'Camp Fire' was organized at Sembuwatta where officers were able to enjoy the salubrious weather in Matale and with the presence of Maj Gen PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USACGSC and other senior gunner officers added glamour to the evening.
On 14 March in the morning conducted sightseen at Sembuwatta, Strolling, Sports Activities and Adventure Activities. In the course of the Excursion Officers had opportunity to keep the endurance, sightseeing and enjoying the leisure keeping the comradeship was well achieved.
