AN ALMS GIVING TO BHIKKHUNIS MONASTERY AT ANURADHAPURA ORGANISED BY THE ARTILLERY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH
2020-08-07The President and members of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, along with the 14 Rocket Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and 9 Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, organised an alms giving to seven bhikkunis at Sushila Bhikkuni Monastery - Anuradhapura, on the 4 of August 2020.
Alms both cooked and dry were taken and offered with pirikara to the seven resident Bhikkhunis of the Monastery. This alms giving too was organised to invoke blessings to the members of the gunner tribe who were infected with the COVID - 19 pandemic and to all ranks and family members of the tribe.
Both Ladies and Officers and Other Ranks contributed largely towards this meritorious deed.
