Inauguration Ceremony of the Newly Constructed Guns Yard and the WOs'& Sgts' Mess
2020-09-30The 9th Field Regiment successfully fulfilled a long due requirement of a Guns Yard to provide adequate shelter and protection for the Artillery guns which were the strength behind the victorious Sri Lankan Army during the prolonged conflict. The Regiment also rewarded the Senior NCO's who have been the backbone of the Unit by constructing a fully-fledged WOs' & Sgts' Mess.
The Inauguration Ceremony of the newly constructed Guns Yard and the WOs'& Sgts' mess was held on 30 September 2020 at the Rear Headquarters, TALAWA. The Commandant Army Volunteer Force and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USACGSC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
