Farewell to Major General PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USACGSC
2020-10-27The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery bid a farewell to Major General PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndu USACGSC, 20th Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery on 26th October 2020 at his retirement from the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army after serving more than 34 years and the Ceremony was held at Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.
Commencement of the ceremony marked by laying a flower wreath to the fallen war heroes at the Regimental Monument who made supreme sacrifice to the Motherland. A Guard turnout and Guard of honour was awarded to the outgoing Colonel Commandant by the Troops of the Regiment of Artillery followed by planting a sapling, tea party at the WOs'/Sgt's mess and all ranks lunch. The day' formalities were terminated after the Dinner Night held at the Officers Mess.
