CHIEF OF STAFF ADDRESSES 14TH SLFPC TROOPS IN UNIFIL, LEBANON
2023-09-15The Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army, Major General W A S S Wanasinghe RSP VSV US ndu who visited Lebanon together with the DGGS of Sri Lanka Army, Major General M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc and Colonel Overseas Operations, Colonel P P C Perera psc to participate in the Ceremonial Medal Awarding Parade of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) in UNIFIL, paid a formal visit to the Sri Base camp in Greenhill, Naquora on 07 September 2023 for a troop address.
After the troops address the delegation was accompanied by the Contingent Commander of 14th SLFPC, Lt Col D P L T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG SLA, all Officers and a few Other Ranks for a camp visit. During the camp visit the delegation inspected the APC section, Medical section, Stores, SLEME Workshop and K-9 section and was followed by an all ranks lunch arranged at Sri base auditorium premises. At the end of the day's programme 3 mementos were presented to the delegation by the Contingent Commander in remembrance of the visit to Sri Base camp. A token of appreciation was also presented by the delegation to the 14th SLFPC in appreciating their peacekeeping duties at UNIFIL.
