COLONEL COMMANDANT MARK HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 7 SLA

The Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College and Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP psc IG marked his maiden visit to 7th Light Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery at Minneriya on 15 January 2024.

The Colonel Commandant was accorded with a Drive Pass at the main entrance of 7th Light Regiment and welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel R N C Y Ramanayake psc IG. Subsequently, the Colonel Commandant planted a sapling (Ironwood) in front of the Artillery Equipment Room to mark his visit. Then, the Commanding Officer briefed the present deployment of the unit, role and task. At the end, the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops before toured the camp premises.

The day's programme concluded with an interactive session with the Officers at the Officers' Mess. The Commander Artillery Brigade, Center Commandant, the Commandant School of Artillery, Senior Officers and Officers of the Artillery Complex also participated for the occasion.
