Shelter for a Family of a Fallen War Hero
2015-05-13A brief ceremony was held to house warming a new house in Munagama, Horana on 12 May 2015 with the participation of members of Seva Vanitha Unit and Gunner family. Construction of the house was taken up with the undulant decision taken to complete the partially build house of fallen war hero Gnr Perera PHN with the noble aim of uplifting of his parents’ means of sustenance, under the directions of the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery and full patronage of Mrs Premilla Perera, Chairperson of the Artillery Sava Vanitha Unit.
This charitable project was funded by the Artillery Seva Vanitha Unit and all construction works carried out by the skillful members of 11th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Artillery under the close supervision of the Commanding Officer.
Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs Premilla Perera, Vice President Mrs Manolanka Wickramarathne, Secretory Mrs Rosi Ravipriya, Treasurer Mrs Champika Sudasinghe and many other members were present at the ceremony.
