School of Artillery Provided Accommodation for "Thai Wandana Pada Yathra- 2018"
2018-03-19Thai Wandana Pada Yathra has been organized by the Temple of Wat-Tanen and Mahamewnawa Bawana Asapuwa with the assistance of Prime Minister office and other local organizations is underway from 2014. The Pada Yathra commenced from Katunayake and to be conducted linking main cities in the Island in order to strengthen the religious relationship between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
On request of FMA (E) the School of Artillery provided accommodation facilities and other basic requirements for those who participated the Pada Yathra that comprised 47 Thai Monks, 3 Monks from Sri Lanka and 37 devotees on 19 march 2018 on its` way to Polonnaruwa.
As a appreciation of all services rendered by the School of Artillery, Monks from temple of Wat-Tenan offered a buddhas' statue to School of Artillery with their blessings brought from Thailand.
